Sapporo Snow Festival! (Day 1 ) Friday

Haneda Airport in Tokyo had an area for kids to play in! Why don't they do that in the states??
At this particular airport or maybe just ANA you have to check your stroller. They give you one of theirs to use throughout the airport instead. This is Lilia all ready for our adventure!
Doesn't she look excited??
And we are at the hotel!

So in most American hotels you can find a copy of the Bible or at least the New Testament, right? Well in Japan you can find the New Testament AND the teachings of Buddha!

Here is our little Buddha holding the teaching of Buddha

Chrissy in our room!
It's funny... I took this picture thinking there was a lot of snow on the way to the festival. Little did I know we were going to have a blizzard the following day...
Crab is king in Sapporo.. ha ha! Literally! Get it? King crab... yeah.... Anyway... we saw crab everywhere.

And... We made it! This was the first big sculpture we saw.

This was by FAR my favorite of all of the snow sculptures. All of the animals in this exhibit were incredible.

A little shout out to my dad who works for Coke...

Pretty Impressive, right? These structures were HUGE!!

those sculptures are amazing!

And something to look forward to, I know for sure that Seattle, DFW, and Chicago have play areas for kids. You probably never noticed them because you didn't have need of them. ;D
